Asynchronous Motors
Robust motors for all applications
Our three-phase Asynchronous Motors provide a power range from 0.12 to 55 kW and are extremely resistant to electrical and mechanical overload.
NORD produces four different series of three-phase Asynchronous Motors for use in a wide range of application areas. While Smooth Motors are ideal as drives in the food industry, Pole Changing Motors and Single Phase Motors provide the necessary power for machine tools, pumps, conveyor belts or fans.
Our three-phase Asynchronous Motors provide powers from 0.12 to 55 kW and feature high performance, solid workmanship and a long service life. They can be combined with all NORD gear unit types.
Advantages of our three-phase Asynchronous Motors:
Our Single Phase Motors: Simply good
Our Single Phase Motors are available in three versions: For simple applications we recommend the economical Single Phase Motor with a Steinmetz circuit; for more demanding applications, variants with an operating capacitor or an operating and starting capacitor are the best choice.
Single Phase Motors are available with powers from 0.12 to 1.5 kW. They can be operated on 50 Hz or 60 Hz mains at 115V or 230V and support the wide voltage range (220V to 240V).
Pole Changing Motors: One drive – many speeds
The NORD range includes pole changing motors for all applications which require flexibility. These drives enable operation with two or more fixed speeds. We supply this type of motor in a 4/2 pole, 8/4 pole, 8/2 pole and 6/4 pole version and if required, with a Dahlander winding.
Smooth Motors for hygienically critical applications
Of course, NORD three-phase Asynchronous Motors are also available in a wash-down version. Our Smooth Motors are very easy to clean and are therefore preferred for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries. They are ideally suitable for combination with our helical and bevel gear units from the NORDBLOC.1 Series, but can also be combined with SMI Worm Gear Units to form a drive unit.
Thanks to their aluminium housing, Smooth Motors are protected against corrosion, however, on request they can be additionally protected with the nsd tupH surface treatment.
