Explosion protected NORD drive solutions have been a part of the NORD product range for decades and can be supplied according to Categories 2D and 3D for Zones 21 and 22. These systems utilise the ignition protection type “Protection with housing” (tD). All of our dust explosion protected motors are approved according to ATEX and HazLoc.

• Power ranges: 0.12 - 22 kW
• Efficiency classes: IE1 and IE2

Among others, the dust explosion protected motors are available with the following options:

• Brake (BRE+), External fan (F)
• Motor protection: Temperature sensor (TF), Thermostat (TW), Anti-condensation heater (SH)
